There’s a stone in my shoe

And it’s digging and it’s dug

Deep into the meaty mound of flesh behind my toes

I’ve wiggled

And I’ve worried it

So now it’s even deeper

And it’s stopped up all the bleeding

And it’s pricking at my bones

The stinging’s kind of stopped

And the numbness sort of spread

So now it seems this stupid stone is deep inside my head

It’s rattling around

And it’s keeping me from sleeping

It’s hard to think this silly stone’s

Enough to get me weeping
