Always in evening the air is sweet with sugar crystals

illuminating our luck with washed out rays of sun

like lemonade that’s already warm in the glass,

our distance between the table and the ice

frozen in the air as a bird shot in flight,

feathers blown out at each end

as your breath over my lips,

our eyes on different
